An aging 'vigilante' is patrolling the Arizona/Mexico border when he comes across a young 'illegal' border crosser. A series of mishaps and problems strand the pair in the desert, in the heat of summer, with no water and no means of communication with each other or the outside world. As the heat takes it's toll, they come to realize that they are not so different, but age old misconceptions and mistrust stand in the way of their own instincts for survival.
