God Thinks You're A Loser Directed by: Gary Chason - 90 min. - USA film website God Thinks You're A Loser can be described as profoundly silly - or deeply shallow. The film is a meditation on guilt, atonement, and the true nature of morality. The story revolves around strippers and oilmen and the reckless pursuit of sensual pleasure, but none of this leads to punishment. It is only when the characters start harming others and not just themselves that they are eternally doomed. We begin with our three miscreants on an elevator to Hell, but then flashback to see what they have done to deserve the dreaded ride to damnation. The film's mixture of outrageous humor and kinky theology is bound to offend somebody, but it is as thought provoking as it is controversial...but mostly it's just plain funny.
